Your lease is a diminishing asset, and as such, with every year that passes, the value of your property decreases. By extending your lease, you are both protecting your current investment in your property and significantly increasing the value of your property, in some cases by more than 200% of the cost of extending the lease.

If you extend your lease under The Leasehold Reform, Housing and Urban Development Act 1993, via a statutory lease extension, your extended lease will add 90 years to your existing lease from the date your Section 42 Notice is issued to your Freeholder or Landlord.
